The San Diego Toreros (11-11) are hoping to pull off an upset tonight as the 7th ranked team in the country comes into town. For the Gonzaga Bulldogs (20-2), they’re off to the best start they’ve had in the WCC since going undefeated in 2008-09.

The Toreros are being paced on the offensive side by sophomore guard Johnny Dee. Dee is averaging 14.4 points per game while shooting .459 percent from the field, .398 percent from behind the arc, and .90 percent from the charity stripe. Also pulling some weight on the court is senior forward Chris Manresa. Manresa is scoring 8.4 points per game and pulling down 6.7 rebounds per game. SD has lost seven straight matchups against ranked opponents.

The Bulldogs are playing great basketball lately. They’ve won their past four games by an average of 25.2 points per game. Elias Harris has been the team’s leader on the court, averaging 15 points per game and pulling down 7.1 rebounds per game. The Bulldogs are 6th in the NCAA in scoring, putting up 79.3 points per game and 2nd in field goal percentage, shooting .513 percent from the field. Their high powered offense will be hard to stop.

This is a WCC game. The Toreros are 4-3 in conference play while the Bulldogs are 7-0 in the conference.

Tipoff is set for 11 PM ET (8:00 PT) in the Jenny Craig Pavillion in San Diego.
