SDSU Lady Aztecs set to take on Air Force

Looking for their sixth straight win, the San Diego State Aztecs (14-5) welcome in the Air Force Falcons (2-17) to the Viejas Arena today.

The Lady Aztecs are being led by Courtney Clements and Chelsea Hopkins. Clements is averaging 17.2 points per game and Hopkins is averaging 13.6 points per contest. Both ladies are shooting over 40 percent from the field. Hopkins is also shooting just over 43 percent from behind the arc. She’s also the team’s leading rebounder and leader in assists. She’s pulling down 7.5 rebounds per game and racking up 7.4 assists per game. This Aztec offense revolves around her and she’ll look to get the ball rolling.

For the Lady Falcons, their offense is centered around Alicia Leipprandt. She leads the team in scoring with 11.8 points per game. Air Force has been plagued by turnovers as of late, committing 30 against Fresno State in their last outing. They’re hoping to get back on track in this game.

This is a MWC game and the Aztecs are 5-1 in conference play while Air Force is only 1-5.

Tipoff is set for 5:00 PM EST (2:00 PM PST).
