The San Diego Chargers have not sold out this Thursday’s preseason game against the Seahawks.  The NFL has given them a 24 hour extension.

They have until 7 p.m. PT Tuesday to sell approximately 1,800 general tickets.

For tickets and more information click here!  Check back tomorrow to find out if the blackout gets lifted!

If the Bolts “sell out” it will be because Ch 8 (CBS affiliate) bought up the remaining tickets. They are the local station that has the broadcast rights to this game. They have in the past so they can broadcast the game live and charge their advertisers instead of having to run some re run sitcom. Why would anyone wanting to go to the game, and not a season seat holder, pay full price from the Chargers when quality tickets are selling at 25 to 35% of face value in the resell market?

It’s an old rule that needs to go. I think it actually makes people more mad that they are being forced to purchase tix. It’s no longer the 70′s NFL, catch up!
