Dissappearing Act? Where are Corey Liuget and Kendall Reyes???

Three games into the season, it’s no secret that The Chargers have zero pash rush. So far the team is 23rd in league in sacks (6) and is second to last in passed defended with (9) What might come as a surprise is that none of those stats belong to Corey Luiget or Kendall Reyes!

Last season both Luiget and Reyes were the powerhouse of the defensive line and combined for a total of 12 1/2 sacks in 2012, this season either one of them has yet to register a single sack. The defensive line lacks depth, with the departure of Shawn Phillips to Denver and the loss of Melvin Ingram to a knee injury, the front seven is getting absolutely man handled by opposing offenses.

With the inability of the linebackers to generate any kind of pash rush on there own. Offensive lines are able to push our three man front all over the place. If there is no interior pressure then The Chargers secondary will be carved to pieces by quarterbacks and their wide receivers.

Going into week 4 of the season, if Reyes and Liuget can’t show up and make their presence felt, then the next several weeks are going to be very long and hard on The Chargers and their fans. We have to hire the services of David Copperfield, Cris Angel or even Siegfried and Roy to make these two guys appear out of thin air. But until that happens, I will shout the question that Hall of Famer Cris Carter asks every week: “Where you at?!!!”
