San Diego, CA- The No. 5 ranked San Diego State Aztecs defeated the Colorado State Rams Saturday afternoon 65-56 for Steve Fishers 300th career win as an Aztec. Coach Fisher now becomes only the 18th coach in Division 1 to have a head coach that has won 300 or more games at their current school.

The Aztecs started the game strong going on a 24-8 run to lead the Rams. The Aztecs would build up their lead to 32-20 over the Ram’s at the half. Xavier Thames leads the Aztecs with 10 points at the half, while Winston Shepard had 9 and Dakari Allen had 6. The Aztecs maintained their lead over the Rams in the second half, never trailing on their way to a 65-56 win over Colorado State. The Aztecs did struggle to put the Rams away, as they cut the lead to single digits at 60-54 with 1:03 left in the game, until the Aztecs sealed the game at the free-throw line for the win.
