San Diego, CA- The San Diego State Aztecs with the additions of shooting guard Trey Kell, point guard Kevin Zabo, small forward Malik Pope and power forward Zylan Cheatham are bringing in the most heralded recruiting class in program history, but of course recruiting never ends in college sports as the Steve Fisher and his staff are working to bring in another solid recruiting class for next year.

According to Mark Ziegler of UT-San Diego, Jeremy Hemsley one of the top basketball recruits on the West Coast will announce his college choice today at 3pm. The San Diego State Aztecs are among the finalists and according Ziegler possibly the favorite.

Although we won’t know for sure until  Jeremy Hemsley announces, most recruiting analyst’s view the Aztecs as the head on favorite.

Jeremy Hemsley, is a four-star 6-foot-3 combo guard out of Damien High in La Verne, Califorina and is ranked in the top 100 by ESPN, Scout.com and Rivals.com.

ESPN ranks  Jeremy Hemsley the highest of the three at 52nd nationally. Scout.com ranks him 54th and Rivals.com 77th.

Hemsley has received offers from San Diego State, Washington, Colorado, Arizona State, UConn, Gonzaga, New Mexico, Boston College and Vanderbilt. Hemsley has narrowed his finalists to San Diego State, Washington, Colorado and Arizona State.

In high school Hemsley plays point guard, but most scouts list him as a shooting guard with above average defensive abilities. Most scouting reports view Hemsley as an athletic slasher that plays with high intensity and leadership qualities.

The Aztecs have three scholarships available for this class and are also in the running for 4 star recruits Cameron Walker, Stephen Thompson Jr. and Ernest Aflakpui.
