San Diego, CA- In an interview Tuesday night with Fox Sports San Diego, San Diego State Head Coach Rocky Long talked about the upcoming San Diego State Aztecs season. He talked about young players and veterans working to get ready for the upcoming season. “We got some young guys that need to get better quick but the veterans coming back, we’re excited about how they’re playing in practice”, said Long.

More from San Diego State Aztecs

Long talked about how confident they are in their offense. “We’ve got our quarterback back, we’ve got a great running back, we’ve got really great receivers” He also talked about the competition between tight ends, “We’ve got 5 tight ends that look the part but now they gotta play the part ” San Diego State has 12 starters returning this season with Quinn Kaehler is returning at quarterback, Donnel Pumphrey at running back, and Ezell Ruffin at receiver.

San Diego State’s offense has always built off the running game through great backs. If they can get some playmakers at tight end then that can open up the deep ball for the receivers. It will be interesting to see how their defense can rebuild and hopefully have some great players in the secondary.
