Philip Rivers was named the FedEx Air Player of the Week earlier this season after defeating the the defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks 30-21. Philip Rivers picked apart the “Legion of Boom” for 284 yards and three touchdowns against the best secondary in the National Football League.

Philip Rivers had a record-breaking performance in Week 4, as he broke his own team record by throwing a touchdown pass in his 24th consecutive game.

Philip Rivers told Ricky Henne of Chargers.com that his receivers deserve praise as well for the team record.

"“Like anything, a lot of guys have a hand in that to be able to throw a touchdown,” he said. “Somebody’s on the receiving end of all 24 of those. There’s five guys at least and a running back up there fighting like crazy for you to be able to get it off. I think the guys that have been a part of those 24 games deserve a pat on the back as well. It’s taken all of us to keep that thing going.” – Philip Rivers"
