The San Diego Chargers said that re-signing guard Louis Vasquez would be their top priority this off-season. Well about forty-five minutes into free agency, the Chargers lost the brightest spot on one of the league’s worst offensive lines. It’s been reported that the Denver Broncos have signed the former Chargers guard. The Chargers never made an offer in an effort to re-sign their “top priority” before free agency kicked off at 4:00 pm ET.

The move came after news broke that the Tennessee Titans agreed to sign the top guard in free agency, Andy Levitre of the Buffalo Bills. The Vasquez deal is reported to be for four years, $23.5 million with $13 million guaranteed.

In other news, the Chargers have officially released NT Antonio Garay. The move will free up $5 million for the Chargers but now that their top two priorities are off the market, where will they go?

It’s been reported that the Chargers are also interested in the Cowboys former tight end John Cooper. Cooper has two career touchdowns and only has one season with over 100 receiving yards.

The Chargers have also claimed running back Fozzy Whittaker from the Arizona Cardinals. Whittaker has yet to step on the field in the NFL. He’s had knee troubles but is reportedly ready to go.
