Chargers Claim DE Lawrence Guy, Release DE Jarius Wynn

The Chargers continued what feels like a weekly routine these days, by making a roster move in order to add depth the defensive line.

The  team claimed defensive end Lawrence Guy of waivers from the Indianapolis Colts and released defensive end Jarius Wynn in a corresponding move.

Guy was released from The Colts to make room the return of wide receiver LaVon Brazil. A seventh round pick in 2011 out of Arizona State spent his first season as a pro with The Green Bay Packers. Unfortunately he never saw the field as he was put on injured reserve with concussion issues.

In 2012, Guy was picked by The Colts, where he played a total of 11 games in the last two seasons. In his pro career, Guy has totaled 25 tackles and 1 sack.

Last week, Guy played a big role in a victory over The Seattle Seahawks, finishing with four tackles and a blocked field goal that was returned for a touchdown.

We will see what kind of help that Guy can bring to a young thin defensive line for The Chargers. At this point the team can use all of the help they can get.
