You can vote for Rivers at NFL.com.

The resurgence of Philip Rivers this season under new Chargers Head Coach Mike McCoy has been is a key reason why the Chargers are in the playoffs and now heading to Denver to take on the Bronco’s in the AFC Divisional Round for a chance to advance to the AFC Championship.

Rivers has completed 378 of 544 passes this season for 4,478 yards with 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Rivers also has a completion percentage of 69.7 this season that leads all NFL Quarterbacks.

Rivers finished the year fifth in the NFL in passing yards, fourth in the NFL in passing touchdowns, and fourth in the NFL in quarterback rating.

Rivers has tough competition for this award, as his fellow nominees Drew Bree’s and especially Peyton Manning has been just as good, if not better.

Drew Bree’s whose lead the Saints to the divisional round as well, has thrown for 5,162 yards and 39 Touchdowns this season. Bree’s ranks second in the NFL in passing yards and second in the NFL in passing touchdowns.

Finally of course the presumed favorite for the award is Denver Bronco’s Quarterback Peyton Manning who threw 5,477 yards and 55 touchdowns this season. Manning lead the NFL in both passing yards and passing touchdowns this season and even broke Tom Brady’s record of the most passing touchdowns in a single season.

Just because Manning is the presumed favorite doesn’t mean Philip Rivers can’t win, this is a fan award and it’s up to Charger fans to vote online as much as possible and get our quarterback who has had an outstanding season this award.
