USD Baseball Tournament Postponed

San Diego, CA- The USD Baseball Tournament was postponed Friday night due to rain.
The Toreros game versus the Baylor Bears will be postponed till Sunday. The Toreros will face Baylor in the morning and then the California Bears at night.
The Toreros are currently (7-1) on the year after defeating theUniversity of North Carolina Wilmington Seahawks 5-2 in the opening game of the USD Tournament. The win also extends the Toreros winning streak to six.
The Toreros scored the games first runs in the bottom of the second inning on an RBI single by Josh Goossen-Brown and a sacrifice squeeze bunt single by Kyle Holder to give the Toreros a 2-0 lead.
The Toreros tacked on a pair of runs in the third on RBI singles by Connor Joe and Goossen-Brown to extend the Toreros lead to 4-0.
The Toreros would add an insurance run in the bottom of the eighth inning on an RBI single by Bailey, as the Toreros defeated the Highlanders 5-2.
Jesse Jenner led the way on offense for the Toreros as he went 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Connor Joe was solid on offense as well going 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Toreros ace PJ Conlon was dominating on the mound tonight for the Toreros as he improved to (2-0) on the season, as he allowed one run on six hits in 6 innings of work. Conlon dominated the Highlanders to start the game retiring ten of the first eleven batters he faced. Conlon took a no-hitter intothe fourth inning, until the Highlanders broke through for their first hit of the game.
