Cameron Maybin injures shoulder in San Diego Padres 3-3 tie to the Los Angeles Dodgers

San Diego, CA- The San Diego Padres tied the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-3 in game number four of cactus league play.

The Padres fall to (0-3-1) on the spring.

The Dodgers scored the games first run in the bottom of the second off Padres starter Robbie Erlin, as with runners on first and third with one out, Dodgers second baseman Alex Guerrero grounded out to third baseman Jace Peterson and the Padres were unable to turn the double play, allowing Joc Pederson to score and give the Dodgers a 1-0 lead. Erlin finished his outing allowing one run on two hits in two innings of work.

Padres Pitching Prospect Jesse Hahn who the Padres acquired in the Loagn Forsythe trade with the Tampa Bay Rays, was excellent in his Padres debut, allowing no runs on one hit in two innings of work. Hahn ended his outing in the bottom of the fourth by striking out Adrian Gonzalez to end his day.

In the bottom of the fourth, Padres center fielder Cameron Maybin injured his left shoulder making a diving catch to take away a double from Juan Uribe. Maybin would stay in the game until the bottom of the fifth when he exited mid inning due to his shoulder injury.

Trailing 2-0 in the top of the sixth the Padres cut the Dodgers lead to 1 at 2-1 on an RBI single by Alexi Amarista to score Jace Peterson.

The Dodgers would extend their lead to 3-1 in the 7th on an RBI triple by Dee Gordon.

The Padres would rally back in the 8th to tie the game at 3-3 on an RBI double by Rico Noel and an RBI single by Rocky Gale.

Neither team would score in the 9th as the game ended in a tie 3-3.
