San Diego, CA- With the NFL draft less than 48 hours away….here are the latest mock draft predictions on who the San Diego Chargers will be selecting at No. 25.

ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay: UCLA outside linebacker Anthony Barr

ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr.: UCLA outside linebacker Anthony Barr

Daniel Jeremiah of TCU cornerback Chargers Jason Verrett

Charlie Casserly of Michigan State cornerback Darqueze Dennard

Rob Rang of Virginia Tech cornerback Kyle Fuller

Dan Shonka of Notre Dame defensive tackle Louis Nix’s Charles Davis: DT Louis Nix – Notre Dame’s Bucky Brooks: CB Bradley Roby – Ohio State

Sports Illustrated’s Peter King: CB Jason Verrett – TCU

Sports Illustrated’s Greg Bedard: DT Louis Nix – Notre Dame’s Rob Rang: DT Louis Nix – Notre Dame’s Dane Brugler: CB Bradley Roby – Ohio State’s Will Brinson: CB Darqueze Dennard – Michigan State’s Pete Prisco: DT Louis Nix – Notre Dame’s Pat Kirwan: DT Louis Nix – Notre Dame

Bleacher Report’s NFL Draft Lead Writer Matt Miller: CB Darqueze Dennard – Michigan State

Overall all of the draft analysts expect the Chargers to go defense with the 25th overall pick. The projection of Anthony Barr by Kiper and McShay is a really surprising one. Most experts expect Barr to go in the Top 10-15, but if Barr were to actually fall to the Chargers at No. 25 that would be an absolute steal for the Chargers and give them one of the most talented pass rushers in the draft. It goes without saying that cornerback is the Chargers top need and unless someone like Barr is available the Chargers will select a cornerback, but what if none of the top corners are available when the Chargers pick ? Then as pointed out by Craig Medeiros in his San Diego Chargers 7 Round Mock Draft, the Chargers will likely go with the best player available and that could be Virgina Left Tackle Morgan Moses who would be the Chargers future at Left Tackle.
