San Diego Padres Jesse Hahn Dominant In His 3rd Straight Win

San Diego, CA – Jesse Hahn was dominant once again Tuesday night for his third straight win as the San Diego Padres defeat the San Francisco Giants 7-2.

Jesse Hahn improved to (3-1) on the season and was perfect through four innings to begin the game and earned the win after just allowing two runs on four hits with a career-high eight strikeouts in six innings of work.

The San Diego Padres scored the games first run in the top of the third, as Cameron Maybin scored on a sacrifice fly by Will Venable to give the Padres a 1-0 lead.

Alexi Amarista would extend the Padres lead in the top of the fifth on an RBI to score Jake Goebbert and Maybin would score on an RBI groundout by Venable to extend the Padres lead to 3-0.

The Giants would score their first run off Hahn in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI groundout by Tyler Colvin to cut the Padres lead to 3-1.

The Padres would answer back in the top of the sixth on an RBI single by Maybin and a two-run single by Amarista to extend the Padres lead to 6-1.

Tommy Medica would add his 4th homerun of the year in the top of the eighth to extend the Padres lead to 7-2.

Alex Torres, Dale Thayer and Blaine Boyer would hold the Giants scoreless to end the game and seal the series win for the Padres.

  • Chase Headley returned to the lineup for the Padres after missing four straight games with a back injury.
