San Diego, CA- The San Diego Padres waste another solid outing by Tyson Ross as they fall to the Arizona Diamondbacks 2-1.

Tyson Ross fell to (6-8) on the season after allowing two runs on five hits in seven innings of work. Ross continues to receive no run support as the San Diego Padres have scored only one run in his last five starts.

The Diamondbacks scored the games first runs in the top of the fourth as Paul Goldschmidt and Miguel Montero scored on a two-run single by David Peralta to give the Diamondbacks a 2-0 lead.

The San Diego Padres cut the Diamondbacks lead in half in the bottom of the fifth inning as Tyson Ross helped himself out with a sacrifice fly to score Cameron Maybin.

The San Diego Padres had a chance to tie the game in the bottom of the sixth with Chase Headley on third with only one out, but unfortunately Headley would be thrown out with the infield in on a groundball by Will Venable to erase the San Diego Padres scoring threat.

Addison Reed would close out the game for the Diamondbacks in the ninth inning for his 18th save of the season as the Diamondbacks defeat the San Diego Padres 2-1.

The San Diego Padres offense was once again pathetic tonight as the Diamondbacks Brandon McCarthy picked up his second win of the season as he allowed only one run in seven innings of work. Both of McCarthy’s wins this season have come against the San Diego Padres.
