A majority of the players cut were on offense. Running backKerwynn Williams, fullbackZach Boren, wide receivers Brelan Chancellor and Micah Hatfield, tight endsJake ByrneandRyan Ottenare among the skill position players.
Offensive linemen cuts were guard Darryl Johnson and tackleNick Becton.
The defense cuts were linebackerAdrian Hamiltonand cornerback Lowell Rose. Punter Chase Tenpenny was also cut.
These 11 cuts are only the beginning for the Chargers. The deadline to get to 75 players is Tuesday, August 26 at 1 p.m. Pacific.
