Despite falling in the polls the San Diego State Aztecs current ranking in both polls remain a sign of how much respect both coaches and writers respect the Aztecs basketball program. If the Aztecs were still considered a mid-major program they would’ve been dropped to N0. 25 or out of the Top 25.

The San Diego State Aztecs despite the loss on Sunday have still put together an excellent non-conference resume this season. The Aztecs have quality wins against BYU, Pitt and No. 13 Utah. The Aztecs only loses have been a two-point loss to No. 3 Arizona and a road loss to No. 17 Washington. The Aztecs have five remaining non-conference games and two tough games against Long Beach State at home and on the road at Cincinnati. The San Diego State Aztecs then finish up the non-conference schedule with three straight home games against  Ball State, UC Riverside and San Diego Christian.

The San Diego State Aztecs return to the court tomorrow at home against Long Beach State. Tip-off time is set for 7:00 p.m. PT.
