Charlie Blackmonwas able to drive inDJ LeMahieuto tie the game in the top of the 3rd.Ian Kennedydid not look rattled by the run and kept his cool to get out of the inning.
The highlight of the game came in the bottom of the 4th whenRymer Lirianohit a shot to the 3rd deck of the Western Metal building. That gave them a 3-1 lead.

Jedd Gyorkostarted off the bottom of the 5th with a double which led toYasmani Grandalgetting a sacrifice fly to drive in Gyorko.
Abraham Almontewould clinch the lead with a home run that gave the Padres a 5-3 lead. The bullpen came in to shutdown the Rockies andJoaquin Benoitpicked up the save.
The San Diego Padres will travel to St. Louis to take on the Cardinals on August 14 at 5:15 p.m. Pacific. This is the start of a 10 game road trip.
