San Diego Padres defeat the Dodgers 4-1

San Diego, CA- The San Diego Padres last night defeated the Dodgers 4-1 to end their two game losing streak and even the series at a game a piece.

Just like a night the Padres would take an early 3-0 lead in the top of the second on an RBI single by Alexi Amarista and a two run single by Stults.
Matt Kemp would cut the Padres lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the third on a sacrifice fly to score Yasiel Puig.
The Padres would get that run right back in the top of the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Yangervis Solarte to score Rymer Liriano and extend the Padres lead to 4-1.

Kevin Quackenbush closed out the game for the Padres in the ninth to earn his first major league save.
Stults improved to (6-13) on the season for the Padres with another solid start, after allowing only one run with five strikeouts in five innings of work against his former team. Stults pitched for the Dodgers from 2006-09.
Padres ace Tyson Ross (11-11, 2.70 ERA) will take the mound against Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw (14-3, 1.86) in the series finale. Kershaw is starting in place of the injured Greinke.
