Ladarius Green & Jason Verrett questionable to play Sunday with hamstring injury

San Diego, CA- The San Diego Chargers might be without tight-end Ladarius Green and 1st round pick cornerback Jason Verrett as they are questionable to play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Ladarius Green and Jason Verrett missed practice today due to hamstring injury’s.

Ladarius Green was limited in practice yesterday, but today was unable to practice and is questionable for Sunday. Ladarius Green was coming off his best game of the season for the Chargers with 4 catches for 64 yards last Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. Ladarius Green was expected to have a bigger role in the Chargers offense this season, but with Antonio Gates continuing to play at an all-pro level, Ladarius Green will remain in the back-up role.

  • Jason Verrett suffered a hamstring injury at the end of the game last Sunday against the Buffalo Bills. Verrett has been held out of practice all-week. If Verrett cannot go expect Brandon Flowers to start the game at right-cornerback for the Chargers alongside Shareece Wright. Expect Steve Williams or Richard Marshall to start at nickle-back if Verrett is unable to play. You could also see strong-safety Marcus Gilchrist at nickle-back with Jahleel Addae back starting at strong-safety alongside Eric Weddle.

    Tight end David Johnson also did not practice today and is questionable for Sundays game with a shoulder injury.

    As for good news Chargers fans wide-receiver Keenan Allen (groin), cornerback Brandon Flowers (hip), Antonio Gates (hamstring), strong-safety Marcus Gilchrist (shoulder) and defensive end Corey Liuget (ankle) participated in practice and are listed as probable for the game Sunday.
