Doug Legursky suffered the injury during Sundays 31-0 victory over the New York Jets. Legursky left the game in the 4th quarter when he was carted off the field with a knee injury. Rookie third-round pick Chris Watt took over at center in Doug Legursky’s place.
The San Diego Chargers signed Doug Legursky earlier this month to improve their offensive line depth, after placing center Nick Hardwick on season-ending injured reserve with another neck injury.

Doug Legursky was a three year starter at Marshall University and signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent in 2008. The Chargers have already placed center Nick Hardwick on injured reserve and backup center Rich Ohrnberger has been inactive the past two weeks with a back injury. If Ohrnberger is unable to play Sunday against the Oakland Raiders, then the Chargers will be forced to use their fourth different starting center in rookie third-round pick Chris Watt against the Raiders.
Expect the Chargers to sign another center or offensive lineman this week to add depth to the roster.
