Also inactive for the Chargers are running back Ryan Mathews, running back Donald Brown, linebacker Manti Te’o, linebacker Reggie Walker and defensive tackle Ricardo Mathews.
2nd round pick outside linebacker Jerry Attaochu has been unable to practice the past few weeks with a hamstring injury, but was able to return and play last week against the Raiders. Unfortunately Attaochu continues to struggle with his hamstring injury and was held out of practice all week and will not be able to play today against the Chiefs.

Cornerback’s Shareece Wright and Brandon Flowers are active today against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Shareece Wright has been out the past two weeks with a sprained MCL he suffered following an accidental collision with safety Jahleel Addae in the second quarter of Week 4’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Wright returned to practice this week and was able to fully-participate all-week.
The Chargers drafted Shareece Wright in the 3rd round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of the University of Southern California and has been the San Diego Chargers starting left cornerback the past two seasons and has been a key contributor on the Chargers defense this season. Shareece Wright had been one of the Chargers top tacklers this season before suffering a sprained MCL.
Brandon Flowers was questionable heading into the game due to a groin injury he suffered during last Sunday’s 31-28 win against the Oakland Raiders. Flowers has made a huge impact on the Chargers defense this season. Flowers leads the team with two interceptions and has brought veteran leadership and toughness to a secondary that has been the weak spot in the Chargers defense the past few seasons.
I expected Flowers to play this weekend as he will be highly motivated to show his former team the Kansas City Chiefs that they made a mistake in releasing him this past off-season.
