San Diego Padres sign 22 of their 40 Draft picks

San Diego, CA- The San Diego Padres have signed 22 of their 40 picks from last weeks Major League Baseball draft.
The San Diego Padres have signed their top three draft picks Trea Turner, Michael Gettys and Zech Lemond.
According to Corey Brock of Padres.com, Trea Turner and Zech Lemond in are in Arizona and will be heading to short season Eugene in a few days. Gettys will remain in Arizona to play in the AZL.

Trea Turner was the 13th overall pick by the San Diego Padres in last weeks MLB Draft and will receive a $2.9MM bonus, which is about $177K above the salary slot for the 13th overall pick. Zech Lemond to a $600K bonus for about $31K below the assigned pick value. Lemond was the San Diego Padres 3rd round pick and is viewed by many as a steal for the Padres. Michael Gettys for signed for $1.3MM bonus, which is about $217K over the assigned pick value.

The San Diego Padres also signed left-handed pitcher Thomas Dorminy (10th round), right-handed pitcher Seth Lucio (12th round), right-handed pitcher Chris Huffman (14th round), left-handed pitcher Taylor Cox (16th round), right-handed pitcher T.J. Weir (17th round), left-handed pitcher Max MacNabb (18th round), right-handed pitcher Tyler Wilson (20th round), right-handed pitcher Aaron Cressley (26th round), catcher Mike Fitzgerald (27th round), left-handed pitcher Ryan Atwood (30th round) and right-handed pitcher Tyler Wood (37th round).
